Sparco RW4 Balaclava - Black (FIA APPROVED)

The Sparco RW-4 Balaclava is used to provide flame and heat protection for your head and neck when wearing a helmet in motorsport. It uses a dual-layer construction of flame-retardant Nomex with an interlock knit to help maintain comfort while complying with safety standards.

Here are the key features that contribute to its performance and suitability for race use:

• Dual-layer construction: This balaclava uses two layers of flame-retardant Nomex, offering increased insulation against heat exposure, helping to reduce the risk of burns during high-temperature events and giving you a dependable layer of protection under your helmet.
• Soft-touch interlock knit fabric: The interlock weave creates a smooth and consistent surface that feels more comfortable against your skin, reducing irritation during longer stints and improving the overall wearing experience.
• FIA 8856-2018 approval: Certified to meet the current FIA flame and heat protection standards, this approval ensures the balaclava meets race regulations and enables you to use it at events that require compliance with the latest safety rules.
• Open face design: This configuration leaves your eyes, nose and mouth area uncovered, helping maintain airflow and visibility while still protecting the rest of your head and neck, making it easier to wear during intense driving.
• One-size-fits-all sizing: The stretchable material adapts to most head sizes and shapes without needing adjustment, allowing for quick gear changes and reliable coverage every time you wear it.

This balaclava is intended to support your safety setup by providing an FIA-approved flame-retardant layer under your helmet. It's a smart addition to your racewear, especially where regulatory compliance and consistent comfort are priorities. Whether you're kitting out a fresh race suit setup or replacing worn gear, it offers a dependable solution with minimal fuss.
